For the new season, stock up on inspiration for sewing your own naughty wardrobe! For newborns, girls and boys, here is our adorable selection of children’s designs. Here we are!
Our favorite designs for newborns
Love like Wickette – Love like Marie
From an early age, our children deserve to have their wardrobe pampered. And what’s better than sewing small unique pieces to make an impression at nursery or school?
Personally I fell in love with the new Aime comme Wickette collection by Aime comme Marie. Culotte versions, long leg, sleeveless, with or without ruffles, elastic waist… This collection of patterns for babies from 3 months to 2 years offers us an infinite number of possibilities (about thirty variations, no less!) to create the perfect bodysuit or playsuit! Among these we find Waglee, Wygi, Widdle and Weechee: models that are as easy to sew as they are to wear for children!

Marie also did us the honor of sewing Wygi, this cute ruffle jumpsuit, in our essential Clovers Terracotta viscose crepe fabric.
To sew your baby’s first hand-sewn clothes, we recommend using a crepe backing that will combine softness, comfort and resistance, such as Avena Soleil Yellow. And to add vibrancy to your quilt, choose solid pink Grenadine which will highlight the pretty details of the pattern!
Madrid tracksuit/dress – Ikatee
Since a newborn doesn’t necessarily mean comfort, it’s important to stock up on clothes that are easy to put on, match and take off. For this reason, there is nothing like a comfortable and unisex model, available in infinite variations and which can be worn in every season! We therefore fall in love with the Madrid tracksuit/dress by Ikatee which features a version with or without sleeves, with front or back buttons and two leg lengths (shorts or trousers) and which closes at the crotch with an optional buttonhole.

Combishort 19 January – You Made My Day sewing patterns
Seduced by this women’s model, I immediately fell in love with the children’s version (from 2 to 14 years).
This cute playsuit with a dungaree look and ruffles will be ideal for a mother-daughter duo. It can also be sewn into a suit or dress version. I particularly like the details of the model such as the wide crossed straps on the back, the belt with sailor-style buttons, the discreet zip, the practical welt pockets and the box pleats on the front. I can assure you that it is a chic, feminine and comfortable garment that both girls and mothers will like.
And most importantly for you, benefit from -20% on the ENTIRE store You created templates for my day with exclusive code: E&Z ! This code is valid until midnight on Saturday 06/26/2026, take advantage of it!
To sew the January 19th paper pattern, choose:
Stella dressing gown/blouse – Ikatee
We continue our momentum with a beautiful duo of patterns: the Stella dress/blouse by Ikatee for girls aged 3 to 12. With its loose cut and gathers that run from the back to the bust, this model gives the garment a decidedly feminine style. It also features cute side yokes at the top and bottom, a back neckline closure, and a long-sleeved or sleeveless version to give you multiple variations.
I love this model because it looks good both in summer with a pair of sandals and in winter with a soft cardigan and ankle boots.
Personally I would choose to sew this pattern with:
Mini Suzon Blouse – République du Chiffon
Initially designed for women, the Suzon model is a collarless and sleeveless blouse that delights us in the children’s version. Thanks to its gathered ruffle that surrounds the bust and back, it will undoubtedly offer a modern and original style to your little girl. For summer, pair it with denim shorts, sneakers or sandals.
I imagine sewing this pattern with:
Robe Bouton d’Or – Atelier Scämmit
Similar to the Stella model featured above, Atelier Scämmit’s Bouton d’Or dress for girls aged 1 to 10 retains the loose, ruffled spirit I love. This model is simpler to make than the previous one because it is made up of a piece for the bust and a piece for the lower part of the skirt, which makes assembling the garment easier. At shoulder height we find small gathered sleeves that are inserted between the sleeves and the bust for a very cute result. The model is also available in the short-sleeved or sleeveless version if you prefer a lighter dress and the back closes with a cute buttoning.
To vary looks and pleasures, choose to sew:
Porquerolles Dress/Tank Top – Les Patronnes
Ideal for the summer season, the Porquerolles dress/tank top model by Les Patronnes will make more than one person fall in love with it! With its loose cut, thin knotted straps and smocked bust, it is the essential garment for summer because it will combine lightness, fluidity and ease. Worn with sandals, hat and shorts for the Top version, your little girls will love dressing up and will be ready to go to school, for trips or to see their grandmother.
I would use it in all of our fabrics, but here are my favorite pattern/fabric combinations for this summer:
Our model inspirations for children
Victor T-shirt – Super Bison
For boys aged 2 to 6 years old, let’s play it safe: the Victor t-shirt by Super Bison. Simple and effective, it is available in the basic long-sleeved version with pretty finished cuffs or in the short-sleeved version. The pattern easily explains how to sew this garment and will allow you to unleash your creativity by sewing mismatched pieces (button placket, collar stand, sleeve bias, etc.). You will love it!
And to please your dear little ones, you can sew:
Papillon – Super Bison (Free pattern)
To complete this selection of children’s sewing patterns in style, here is the last piece missing from your little ones’ wardrobe: the famous bow tie!
Because it is not something reserved only for adults, the bow tie is the fundamental accessory for a chic and original look. Available in all our fabrics and easy to sew, you will have lots of fun and your baby will be the cutest at weddings, baptisms, birthdays…
I love the versions with our Serges:
I hope I have inspired you with many beautiful ideas,
Until we meet again !
