Here is our beautiful Aime comme Mi Amor dress by Aime comme Marie, adorned with our flowers in the wind…

THE MODEL

This Mi Amor dress easily adapts to our everyday wardrobe, but also for special occasions thanks to these cute little details. Cutouts, small tulip sleeves, pockets hidden behind the gathers of the skirt part, neckline at the back, comfortable fullness, but which remains feminine… I love everything about this model!

TAILS AND MODIFICATIONS

I’m wearing the dress here in size S but with a few centimeters of extra gathering, just for my pleasure and so that my buttocks (which aren’t really size S) are comfortable!

I also accentuated the neckline on the back because I’m a big lover of open backs, low backs, low backs, etc…! I still made sure the bra remained invisible. The back zipper has not been incorporated as I don’t need it to wear it. I also reduced the chest size because mine is larger

A final change concerns the «tulip» sleeves. I preferred very simple sleeves, so I overlapped the two sleeve pieces to obtain only one and maintain the overall fullness initially foreseen by the pattern.

You can notice some small changes in this model, because in fact the great advantage of sewing is being able to have tailor-made clothes! Models cannot always fit us perfectly because each of us has unique measurements. In my case, I make a 38 at the top and a 40 at the bottom… By playing with sizes and patterns, we manage to create sewing designs that highlight us, hiding our little «flaws» or «complexities».

SEW

Fitting this dress is easy thanks to the instructions provided. There are no major difficulties with this dress, you just need to be careful to distribute the gathers evenly and clearly mark the «corners» between the bust parts so you can clearly see the cute cutouts.

Our Windy Melograno viscose crepe is ideal for sewing this model because it does not slip under the machine, but offers us the ideal fluidity for the fall of the model. We work on the quality and thickness of the fabric to make sewing easier for you!

THE FABRIC

Our Windy Pomegranate pattern allows this dress to reveal these beautiful details thanks to these dotted patterns. Our beloved flowers let fly a few petals against this pomegranate red background, which makes the details of the pattern shine.

Our fabrics are dyed and printed in Portugal in two stages. First, the base is dipped in the color you chose for the background, then the designs are printed on top. This technique helps avoid problems with white threads being pulled when pins or needles get stuck. Thanks to its weight of 155 g/m2, it is completely opaque, so there is no need to double your creations!

I LOVE ME EVERY DAY

I approve of this dress that can be worn in everyday life as well as in the evening for dancing until late at night (well, there are not too many parties this summer, but I will bring it out next summer!) And then, since I am a big fan of low backs, it is my little favorite!
